What is Pranic Healing?

Prana or life force is the animating principle of all living things. When the body is sick or in pain, the life force and the body’s energy field are affected. Pranic healing teaches the technique of cleansing and recharging the energy body. Indian Rishis, Chinese Taoists, and Tibetan Monks are among the many that have been using “prana” or energy in healing for centuries.

What is Prana?

“Prana” is a Sanskrit word that means “life-force.It is the vital energy that keeps the body alive and healthy. In Greek, it is called pneuma; in Polynesian, mana; in Japanese, ki; in Chinese, chi and in Hebrew, ruah. There are three major sources of prana from natural elements: the air, sun, and earth. A fourth source is divine prana which is received through meditation and prayer.

Prana and Healing

The energy body — also referred to as the “etheric” or “bioplasmic” body — both interpenetrates and extends beyond the physical body. The pranic healer cleanses the energy body by removing used-up prana and diseased energy, and then energizes the energy body with fresh vital prana. This procedure facilitates the physical body’s natural healing process. In fact it is the natural healing process of the body that the foundation of Pranic Healing rests upon:

1) that the body is a “self-repairing” living entity that possesses an innate ability to heal itself,

2) the healing process is accelerated by increasing the vital energy in the affected part of the physical body. .

Everyone has the innate ability to heal and relieve pain.

The tools to learn Pranic Healing already exist within each person: focus and the willingness to heal either oneself and/or others. In fact, it is easier to learn to heal than learning to ride a bicycle or play the piano. In its basic form, it is a process of cleansing and energizing the aura that surrounds adults, children, pets, even plants and relationships!

Pranic healing is applied on the bio-electromagnetic field known as the aura, which contains the blueprint of the physical body. This bio-plasmic body absorbs life energy and distributes it to the organs and glands. In the palm of your hands are energy centers called chakras. Through simple exercises, these chakras can be activated. Once activated, they become sensitive to feeling others’ energy. You can scan their energy field to locate blockages and be able to cleanse, energize and revitalize the area with new prana.

Pranic healing is currently being taught to medical professionals,* massage therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, the clergy, homemakers, engineers and many others in all walks of life. It has allowed them to heal confidently and consistently in the shortest learning time possible. *Basic Pranic Healing is now approved for nursing CEC’s in some U.S. states. (In Oregon, up to 14 CEC’s.)
